If you’re thinking about the science fair, but feel intimidated, don’t worry! We welcome all types of projects, and encourage Learners to complete the presentation materials themselves. Learners can also present in a group of up to 3. Comfort with friends!
My 8 year old has been a huge fan of dinosaurs for years (he loves the Dinosaur George podcast), so the question he’ll endeavor to answer is: Was Compsognathus a Dromeosaur? He has a hypothesis, has started collecting research and resources to showcase for background, and plans to make a model. I am the buyer and printer of materials right now as we plan next steps.
Use what your child knows and is already interested in to start your questioning. Check out this guide to help you get started: How to Do a Great Elementary Science Fair Project & Board Layout
Boards should have four elements:
1. Question
2. Hypothesis
3. Procedure & Materials
4. Conclusion
Additional materials welcome!
