Lots of creatures call Spruce home. We maintain an aquarium with two yellow-bellied slider turtles in our main area. We also love bugs! Spruce is currently housing a baby praying mantis, a terrarium with 4 small toads, another with snails, pill bugs, and slugs, and an enclosed vivarium.

Spruce Learning Exploration Pod sessions aim to meet Learners where they are through interpersonal connection, guidance, and just the right amount of challenge. They’ll build academic skills including math, literacy, writing, science, history, and art through engaging activities, group experiences, and facilitated learning opportunities. Learners will also build & practice social and emotional skills as they navigate the program day with others in their pod. Friendships will form, conflict resolution skills will be flexed, and independence will grow as Learners collaborate, problem solve, and play in each session.

We’ll also take time to build awareness of mind, body, & emotion through intentional experiences like affirmations, meditation, farm time, and movement in nature.

Sessions are designed & facilitated by our founder, Amanda, to engage the whole child, build valuable knowledge and skills, and meet GA State Standards across content areas. Learn more about Amanda here.

Season Details

• Each session is capped at twelve (12) Learners for maximum individualized attention & connection.

• Learners registered for the whole season will receive a detailed learning story addressed to them and a portfolio of work at the end of the season. These can be used for homeschool records and assessment.

• Spring sessions will take place on Tuesdays-Thursdays from 9:30am-3:30pm.

• Two snacks are included per session, please indicate any food allergies upon registration.
